Fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff is marking the height of summer with a seasonal pop-up shop at Montauk-based Sole East Resort, running through Sunday, Aug. 10.
Strategically timed for the peak of summer season, the pop-up offers a curated selection of Minkoff’s latest collection. The assortment includes her handbags, versatile beach-to-dinner staples and, according to a news release about the event, her “cool-girl” aesthetic.
The pop-up is a “full-circle moment” for the designer.
“Sole East has always held a special place in my heart. It’s where I hosted one of my very first Hamptons pop-ups nearly a decade ago and now this summer, I am celebrating my 20th anniversary of being a fashion designer,” Minkoff told Long Island Business News.
“Coming back this summer feels like such a full-circle moment,” she added. “The energy in Montauk is electric, and I’m so excited to bring our latest collection directly to the beach crowd who inspires so much of it.”
An example of the experience economy, the pop-up blends fashion with lifestyle, offering more than just products as it delivers an immersive brand moment in a memorable setting.
Minkoff will make personal appearances throughout the 10-day event, giving guests the opportunity to engage directly with the designer, receive styling advice and see the collection in the resort’s setting.
The collaboration also holds meaning for David Ceva, owner of Sole East.
“We’re honored to welcome Rebecca back to Sole East during such a landmark moment in her career—and as we celebrate 20 years of our own,” Ceva said.
“Her return feels like a natural continuation of the connection we’ve shared with the fashion community over the years,” he added. “This collaboration is a celebration of two brands growing, evolving, and staying true to the creative, coastal spirit that makes Montauk so special.”
