NORMAN, Okla. — Helen Hu (Chicago, Illinois) of the University of Missouri gymnastics team recorded the sport’s first perfect 10 of the 2025 season during her balance beam routine at the Tigers’ Southeastern Conference opener against top-ranked Oklahoma on Friday evening at Lloyd Noble Center.
No. 10 Mizzou (5-2, 0-1 SEC) ultimately fell to the No. 1 Sooners (7-0, 1-0 SEC) by a 197.775-196.750 margin.
Hu’s performance is the fourth time a Mizzou gymnast finished with a 10 on beam, most recently done by Sienna Schreiber on March 3, 2024, against Arkansas. Before last season, the feat had not been accomplished by a Tiger since Lauren Schwartzman did so twice in the 2004 campaign. Five of the seven 10s in Mizzou gymnastics history have come since 2023.
